Civic and Women Rights Education for Young Women

Summary

The overall development objective is to motivate the active participation of young women of Riga and other cities of Latvia in the public life of the community in issues related to social awareness and women’s rights.

Objectives

The overall goal of this project is to provide young women with:

· theoretical knowledge on human rights, social justice and women’s issues
· theoretical and practical training on leadership skills
· a practical opportunity to bring to a wider public debate these problems

We aim to contribute to the change of people’s attitude to social and political problems, as well as make them aware of some women’s related issues. This will be measurable in a higher involvement in the reality of Latvia of all beneficiaries in all the aspects treated during the training (social and political rights, women’s rights). A groups of young professionals will receive training on leadership skills as a tool to be ready to bring later these issues to the social arena.
